Blood tests are a common and necessary part of children’s healthcare experiences. Unfortunately, they are also a source of pain and distress. In this study we are looking at whether introducing a robot into the waiting room of the blood clinic at our health centre can be done in an feasible way and help children with getting blood tests.
We recently conducted a study with parents and children between the ages of 4-15 years who had a blood test at the IWK Health Centre. Stay tuned to learn more about what we found!
